Birth pools are booking up quickly at the moment, so if you’re hoping for one I’d suggest reserving yours nice and early to make sure it’s ready for you. You can secure your pool with a £50 deposit, and the rest isn’t due until 35 weeks.

I have four pools to hire, each one coming with a full kit of everything you’ll need for your homebirth—from the essentials like a liner and hose, right down to the little comforts like a bath mat and stool. Every pool also arrives with a Wild Embers Glow Box—a bundle of oxytocin-friendly goodies to help you create the calm, cosy atmosphere you deserve.

Pools are delivered or collected around week 36, so it’s all set up and waiting as you move into your birthing window. The hire period lasts a full 6 weeks (37–43), giving you plenty of breathing space with no rush if your little one takes their time.

I offer two sizes—the La Bassine Maxi and the La Bassine Original—so you can choose the pool that feels right for you.
