Meet Elle
A Little About Me
Hi, I'm Elle, founder of Wild Embers and Glow & Gather.

I'm a Pregnancy Yoga teacher, Birth Worker and community advocate supporting families across Amesbury, Salisbury and the wider Wiltshire area through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. Through classes, workshops and community support, my goal is simple: to help parents feel informed, confident and connected throughout their journey.

I'm also mum to my three daughters, Maeve, Fearne and Remi, wife to Matt, and a born-and-bred local girl. I was born at Salisbury Maternity Unit, grew up in Figheldean and Durrington, and now live just a mile from where I spent my childhood.

Home for me is muddy walks across the Plain, village life, strong communities and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Family life is usually a mixture of school runs, dog walks, coffee, chaos and trying to slow down enough to enjoy the little moments in between.

Those experiences have shaped so much of what Wild Embers has become. More than just classes, it's a community built around connection, confidence and support.
Because pregnancy, birth and parenthood were never meant to be journeys we navigate alone.
Why Birth Work?
I've been fascinated by pregnancy and birth for as long as I can remember.

Growing up with a dad who worked with livestock, I spent countless hours watching animals give birth with an ease and instinct that always amazed me. Living so close to Stonehenge, I've often found myself wondering how generations before us navigated pregnancy, birth and parenting long before modern headlines and fear-based stories became part of the conversation.

When I became pregnant with my first daughter, I discovered Pregnancy Yoga and Hypnobirthing for myself. What started as curiosity quickly became a passion. I realised that pregnancy and birth didn't have to be something we simply endured or survived. With the right information, support and preparation, they could be positive, empowering and even enjoyable experiences.

That discovery changed everything.

After maternity leave, I trained as a Birth Worker, initially qualifying in Hypnobirthing and Pregnancy Yoga before going on to train in Postnatal & Baby Yoga and a range of other birth and parenting support specialisms. Today I support families through pregnancy, birth preparation, postnatal recovery and the transition into parenthood.
Alongside my work with Wild Embers, I'm also proud to advocate for local families through my role with the local Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership, helping ensure parents' experiences shape the future of maternity care.
What You Can Excpect
Whether you join me for Pregnancy Yoga, Postnatal & Baby Yoga, Hypnobirthing, birth preparation or one of our community events, my goal is always the same: to create a space where you feel informed, supported and completely welcome.

Wild Embers has never been about perfection. It's about real life.

You'll find evidence-based information without the overwhelm, practical tools without the pressure, and a community that celebrates all paths to parenthood. My classes are inclusive, welcoming and open to everyone, whether you're attending with a partner, a friend, or flying solo.

Expect laughter, honest conversations, movement that feels good, and plenty of opportunities to connect with other local parents. You may occasionally find Beyoncé on the playlist, a well-earned beer handed to a birth partner at the end of a workshop, and there's a very good chance there will be cake.

Most of all, you'll find a space where you can simply be yourself — for the good days and the not so good days.

10 things I am passionate about
-
Pregnancy, birth and early parenthood
-
Not just the big milestones, but everything in between — the transformations, challenges, growth and magic that come with becoming a parent.
-
-
Helping people trust their bodies
-
Our bodies are incredible. I love helping parents understand how birth works and how they can work with their bodies rather than against them.
-
-
Informed choice and true consent
-
Every parent deserves to understand their options, ask questions and make decisions that feel right for them, free from pressure or coercion.
-
-
Oxytocin over obedience
-
Creating environments where people feel safe, calm and supported will always be more powerful than simply telling them what to do.
-
-
Supporting military families
-
Living and working in a military community has shown me how important connection is when your village may be hundreds of miles away.
-
-
Building communities, not just classes
-
Some of the most meaningful support happens over a cup of tea after class. Bringing people together is one of my favourite parts of what I do.
-
-
Improving maternity services
-
I'm passionate about making sure local families are heard and that their experiences help shape better care for future parents.
-
-
Breaking the silence around fertility, loss and difficult journeys to parenthood
-
These experiences are incredibly common, yet so many people feel they have to carry them alone.
-
-
Nature, fresh air and slowing down
-
Whether it's a walk across Salisbury Plain, sitting around a firepit or watching the seasons change, nature always brings me back to what matters.
-
-
Good food and good company
-
Cheese boards, pizza, a cold beer, a glass of wine, cake after class and meaningful conversations with lovely people. The best kind of self-care.
