Ember & Bloom | Tuesday 13:00
Pre & postnatal yoga to support you through pregnancy and into motherhood.
Service Description
Pre & Postnatal yoga A space to tend to yourself through pregnancy, birth and the transition into motherhood. 🔥🌿 Ember & Bloom is a relaxed yoga class created for both pregnant and postnatal bodies – recognising that while these stages are different, both deserve movement that supports rather than demands. Tend the ember. Make space to bloom. During pregnancy, we’ll use movement to create space and comfort in your changing body, maintain strength and mobility, and explore breath and relaxation techniques that can support you through pregnancy and birth. Postnatally, the focus gently shifts towards rebuilding strength and stability, reconnecting with your core and pelvic floor, releasing the aches that can come with feeding, carrying and caring for a baby, and gradually returning to movement. Every session brings together mindful movement, mobility, strength, breathwork and relaxation, with options throughout depending on your body and where you are in your journey. No previous yoga experience is needed. Babies are very welcome. Feed, change, cuddle, settle or let them sleep while you move – whatever you both need that day. Is this class suitable for me? Pregnancy: Suitable from 12 weeks of pregnancy, provided you have no medical or pregnancy-related reason to avoid exercise. If you have been advised to restrict activity, have a high-risk or complicated pregnancy, or are unsure whether yoga is appropriate for you, please check with your midwife or maternity team before attending. Postnatal: As a general guide, this class is suitable from around 6 weeks after an uncomplicated vaginal birth and 10–12 weeks following a caesarean birth or more complicated recovery. Recovery is individual, though, and being a certain number of weeks postnatal doesn't automatically mean your body is ready for every movement. If you have ongoing pain, significant bleeding, wound or scar concerns, symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic floor symptoms, significant abdominal separation, or any concerns about your recovery, please seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional before attending. Please complete your health and registration form before your first session and let me know about any changes during your pregnancy or postnatal recovery so that your practice can be adapted appropriately. All mats and equipment are provided. 📍 Glow & Gather, Bulford – near Amesbury
