Service Description

Pregnancy yoga at Wild Embers is about so much more than stretching and relaxation. It’s a space to slow down, breathe deeply, connect inward, and feel truly supported as you prepare for birth — whatever that journey may look like for you. These classes are intentionally designed for pregnant women who want to feel calm, confident and informed, without pressure to “do pregnancy perfectly.” Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, whether you’re planning a home birth, birth centre or hospital birth, you are welcome exactly as you are. Pregnancy Yoga at Wild Embers is a supportive, nourishing space to move, breathe and prepare for birth — in a way that feels calm, empowering and realistic. These 75-minute classes combine pregnancy-safe yoga, breathwork and practical birth preparation, guided by a trained hypnobirthing practitioner. They’re designed to support both your changing body and your growing confidence as you move through pregnancy. The physical practice focuses on easing common pregnancy discomforts such as lower back pain, tight hips and pelvic tension, while gently building strength, stability and mobility. Movements are slow, intentional and adaptable, with plenty of options offered so you can listen to your body and move in a way that feels right for you. Many of the positions explored also become familiar, instinctive shapes that can feel supportive during labour. Birth preparation is woven naturally throughout the class rather than delivered as formal teaching. You’ll explore breathing techniques, relaxation tools and simple practices that support your nervous system, helping you feel more at ease with the sensations of labour. You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of how your body works in birth, building trust in yourself and your baby. There is no pressure to perform, keep up, or “do pregnancy yoga properly”. You don’t need any previous yoga experience — everything is offered with choice, consent and encouragement to honour how you’re feeling on the day. Classes are welcoming and friendly, with space for quiet presence as well as gentle connection with others. Many women attend throughout their pregnancy, finding that consistency helps everything land more deeply and makes the class feel like a weekly anchor. Pregnancy Yoga at Wild Embers isn’t about rigid birth plans or perfect poses. It’s about feeling informed, supported and confident — and learning tools you can carry with you into birth and early motherhood.
